The plan I came up with for the event was on Monday the 24th of February, my dad will pick me up from school at 4:15pm and we will make our way strait to the border with our luggage and we will drive to KL which will take us approximately 4 and half hours to the hotel which is the Marriott hotel Putrajaya. Me and my dad will most likely take at least one break roughly halfway through the journey there for snacks and bathroom. Once we get to the hotel, I expect to be helping the GATES team and assisting them with anything from contractors to venue. The event will last a total of 3 days. I think it will be a busy event as the hotel is quite big so i am guessing There will be a lot of people coming for the event. This will probably the biggest GATES event I will go to. I am hoping everything turns out well and as expected.
For the trip, we will need no visas, just Malaysian digital arrival card (MDAC) to get into Malaysia, we will obviously need our passport otherwise they will not let us in (Singapore will not let us out). We will need some clothing, devices, chargers, some drinks and snacks. We will also need formal attire for the event especially the welcome cocktails and gala dinner and awards. For the actual event, I think I will wake up and then go for breakfast and then go to the event.
